Kariba Dam project – Reprotex Units returning to the UK

Kariba Dam

After four years of service on the Kariba Dam rehabilitation project in Zambia, Aquaforce Concrete Services’ two Reprotex MFD_R20 Waste Water Recycling Units have now been demobilised from the dam and returned to the site compound – ready to be transported back to the UK.

Once reintegrated into our UK fleet, these units will enhance our capabilities and produce cost savings for both Aquaforce and our clients by:

  • Pre-treating non-potable water for use in our high-pressure pump units
  • Recycling waste process water within our hydro-demolition works

Resulting in:

  • Less total water consumption
  • Less transport / logistics costs
  • Less disposal costs

With a capacity of up to 200L/min, the waste water recycling units support both hand lance and robotic hydrodem operations, offering our clients significant savings on water provision and disposal, and improved environmental performance for both Aquaforce and our partners.
